The difference is in our patented chambered guitar body design with its sidewall venting and adjustable carbon fiber back plate. Under tension, the carbon fiber plate resonates in unison with the top of the guitar to dramatically increase the sustain of notes and chords. Adjusting the tension of this plate changes the guitar’s resonant frequencies and restricts the unwanted feedback inherent to semi-hollow body electric guitars played at high levels of amplification.
Music venues can pose acoustic issues for musicians since each space has its own natural frequencies as does each guitar. During sound checks you can easily adjust your Jasper guitar to better synchronize to the unique frequency of each space by applying calculated turns to the tensioning bolt on the back of the guitar. If your guitar shows tendencies to feedback at certain volumes, simply adjust the tensioning bolt to add or subtract top stiffness. Varied tensions to the back plate will help restrict the guitar top from increasing unwanted feedback. It’s like having a dial on your guitar to add sustain, control feedback, and discover more sustained harmonic overtones (i.e. the sweet spots) that seem to hold forever!
